An expanding group private practice seeks to hire second year master’s students as interns for a unique internship program. Interns at CICA will handle a small caseload of outpatient clients on a weekly basis while receiving weekly supervision and join a monthly group supervision. We provide exciting opportunities to develop and run your own clinical group with support and training. You will be able to shadow other clinicians, create your own trainings, and work towards making a lasting impact at CICA.

The ideal candidate will commit to providing compassionate, culturally integrative care for our clients, and will be actively engaged within a collaborative, team-oriented group practice, while also be skilled in working independently with their respective clients.
This is a hybrid (50% in-person, 50%- remote) position for all client facing time. There is also one required in-person meeting on the first Wednesday of every month, from 9am to 10am. Attendance at additional in-personal meetings may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a caseload of up to 10-15 clients for ongoing individual or couples’ psychotherapy, including conducting case assessments, creating treatment plans, and completing timely documentation.
Leverage practice EMR system to maintain timely and appropriate clinical documentation (progress notes, discharge summaries, collateral notes, etc.)
Attend all required staff/operations meetings, peer consultation, individual consultations, and trainings
Collaborate with the administration/leadership team to develop clinical profiles, communicate scheduling needs, and maintain an active caseload
Working towards developing a curriculum and leading/co-leading a clinical group with the support of CICA staff
Complete assigned readings and engage in bi-weekly group discussions to expand clinical knowledge base
Focusing on long term imprints at CICA through training development and impact projects.
To complete requirements as set forth by your educational institution
Working closely with supervisor and Internship coordinator to hone clinical skills and focus on development as a clinician.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
REQUIRED: Must be a second year Master’s student in a relevant clinical program (e.g. Master of Social Work)
REQUIRED: At least 1 year or 2 semesters worth of providing clinical services (outpatient, In-home therapy, residential work, etc.)
PREFERRED: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational and leadership skills
PREFERRED: Eagerness to collaborate with other team members to work towards shared goals/objectives
PREFERRED: Candidates of color, multilingual candidates, persons identifying as multicultural, and LGBTQIA+ are encouraged to apply
PAY
CICA's Clinical Internship is an unpaid position within the practice.
SCHEDULE
Approximately twenty-four (24) hours per week
