Bradley Wallace joined Collaborative Insight Counseling Associates (CICA) as a pre-LMHC psychotherapist in June 2024.
Bradley graduated from Boston College in 2022 with a B.S. in Neuroscience. He continued at Boston College to earn his Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. He has further clinical experience working in Alzheimer’s Disease research and community mental health crisis-management. During his clinical internship in crisis-management, Bradley gained valuable experience working with a diverse range of clients across different age groups from children to the elderly, cultural backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses. Much of the work in his clinical internship involved work with Boston’s underserved communities, including those experiencing homelessness, substance abuse, and domestic violence. This experience reinforced his commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. Through these experiences, Bradley strengthened his clinical skills in both neuropsychological assessments and risk management.
Bradley’s journey into becoming a therapist was inspired by lived experiences with loved ones who struggled with mental disorders and a deep passion for understanding the complexities of the human mind. During his time as an undergraduate, Bradley had opportunities to explore research related to art therapy with adolescents, which inspired him to explore more classes related to mental health counseling. Very quickly, he found himself extremely interested in various counseling theories, modalities, and methods. After beginning his master’s degree, Bradley found his background in neuroscience helped to inform both a neurobiological and psychological perspective of mental health into his practice.
Bradley’s clinical interests include anxiety disorders, trauma work, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. He also seeks to aid those coming to therapy with topics including life-transitions, relationship dynamics, and gender & sexuality. Bradley believes in creating a space in therapy where all aspects of your identity are welcome in the therapeutic space. Drawing from a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, humanistic, and feminist theories, Bradley aims to tailor his approach to meet the unique needs of each individual while maintaining a culturally sensitive perspective.
As a therapist, Bradley is deeply committed to providing affirming and inclusive care for individuals from all walks of life. Particularly, Bradley understands the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals and he believes an understanding of the whole self is important for fostering a space for compassionate self-reflection and growth. Bradley strives to create a space to both allow for insightful discussions and provide skills to empower individuals to be their most authentic selves. Whether clients are facing difficulties in their life, seeking personal growth, or looking for a space to be heard, Bradley is here to accompany you on your journey towards healing and self-discovery.
Fun fact: Bradley loves to dance in his free time, and previously danced on a hip-hop dance team for 4 years! Bradley also loves any opportunity to bake, and his favorite dessert to make is banana bread!
