Grace Lincoln, BA

pronouns: she|her|hers

Grace joined Collaborative Insight Counseling Associates (CICA) as a Clinical Psychotherapist Intern in September 2024. Grace is offering individual therapy under the guidance of independently licensed CICA staff, including weekly supervision with Emily Feigenberg, LICSW and supplementary support from Raihaan Attawala, LMHC.

Grace believes that every person is capable of growth and deserves to love themself. She helps clients reach their fullest potential and feel their best. As a therapist, she provides a comfortable space for self-reflection, where clients come to understand themselves at the deepest level. In their work together, clients learn to nurture themselves as they build inner strength and serenity. Grace believes that there is always darkness in life, yet light can be found by those who want to see it. Grace is not someone who is afraid of the dark. She encourages clients to bring their darkness—their pain, their confusion, their hurt—and walks with them as they find their guiding lights.

Grace provides guidance in navigating life transitions, difficult emotions, issues of identity, and relationships. She is passionate about fostering healthy attachments and believes in the power of love in all its forms. She helps clients flourish in their relationships, and strengthen their connections as a source of security that empowers them to thrive, even against forces of trauma and oppression. She offers sensitive counseling for disparate relationship dynamics, including multicultural, interabled, and non-monogamous relationships.

Grace builds relationships with clients as unique individuals, and her therapeutic work is based on ongoing collaboration to tailor a personalized treatment plan. Integrating psychodynamic, emotion-focused, and solution-focused therapy, Grace’s conceptualizations are imbued with a strengths based perspective and her approach is inspired by positive psychology. She holds space for everyone to learn how to be courageously vulnerable. Through compassionate, person-centered therapy, she listens to clients without judgment and uses narrative tools to help them process emotions. She supports clients in emotional exploration, identifying goals and boundaries, and practicing effective communication strategies.

Therapy enables us to heal ourselves and sharpen access to our wisest intuition.
— Grace Lincoln, BA

Grace has experience working with people across the lifespan, from families with pre-preschool children at Galoop to senior citizens through the Lexington Mental Health Task Force. She is able to build strong working alliances with people who are neurodiverse; she has supported adults with developmental disabilities at Gateway Arts, adults with ADHD through the Attention Deficit Disorder Association, and adults with psychiatric disorders at the Boston University Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation

Grace believes that all alliances are enriched by the acknowledgement and inclusion of diverse backgrounds, personal histories, and individual identities. She is cognizant of her positions of racial and class privilege, and is committed to advancing social justice. As a queer woman, she offers a safe space of understanding for LGBTQIA+ clients and people who want to explore their self-identity.

Driven by curiosity, empathy, and integrity, Grace is warm, calm, and thoughtful. She chose this career path because she believes in the healing power of talk and feels most fulfilled when she gets to bear witness to the transformative power of small changes. She celebrates her clients’ everyday progress towards their goals. Her clients leave each session feeling seen and understood, and end therapy as their most authentic selves.

Grace’s clinical internship at CICA is part of her work in completing her final year of MSW coursework at Simmons University School of Social Work. She is studying on the specialized track towards her Trauma Practice Certificate

Grace loves to paint and crochet, and often stops to smell flowers.
